DMC-FZ1000 battery pin fix

The problem

Unfortunate missunderstanding of the battery pin condition prompted owner to attempt restoring function with unsuitable tools.

Teardown

Ifixit has a neat guide to get into the battery connector PCB.

Some precautions

the guide does not show it clearly but tha cap is hiding in the battery housing vicinity. Some carefull use of resisistors is needed to empty the cap without destroying any nearby components.

Closer inspection

Does not look good, bent and broken.

Finding replacement pin

Removal of one the connecting pins from a broken phone
should do nicely..

Does seem right for the job.

Soldered in place

After straightening the bent ones, soldering can now be done.

Looks ok

Almost perfect

Assembly in reverse order, of course.
